Course Title: Psychology 610 – Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Date:
Time:
Details: This course is about functional brain imaging as undertaken using magnetic resonance technology (fMRI). An understanding of the history of fMRI methods, how and why they work, and their strengths and limitations will be presented. There will also be an introduction to techniques for effective design, issues in data pre-processing, analysis, and interpretation. Some basic human neuroanatomy and physiology, and nuclear magnetic resonance physics will also be covered in the class. Since this is a young and rapidly evolving approach, we will also discuss some heuristics and practical insights gleaned through experience with these techniques.
